May 9th, 2015 Lusaka to Chapata, Zambia

May 9th

4AM We reached Lusaka. I didn't realize until 6 because people stayed on the bus. It played music all night, awful music the entire night.
6AM I went for the 2PM bus to Lilongwe for 200 MWKs but realized there was a bus to Chapata, where I can take a minibus and possibly reach there tonight. I finally got them to switch for me.

Truck that fell of the clip. They were trying to pull it up for 3 days.

6PM We are still about 1 hour away and it might not have been a good idea because we were delayed some by trucks that flipped over on the road. They played awful music again, sound like children's gospel music the entire 12 hours. I don't know where I'm staying tonight.
10PM I arrived at Chapata, which sounds like Sparta. I was stopped by a Chinese man from Fujian, who escorted me to his new home, to which he moved yesterday. We talked about his experience selling gambling machines here. He thought I might be been in trouble after seeing me being pestered. He told me that only Ethiopian girls grow long hair and the girls here use fake wigs.
11PM I came back with him and sat in the police station for 2 hours. Some prisoners tried to talk to me. The bus was late. The bus didn't get here until 1:30AM.
