So the total comes out to be $1002.82.  I venture to guess that I spent around 1400 in my 18 day trip, given that I spent $387 on the ticket to Cuba.

January 3rd, 2012 Mexico City to Miami

9AM  I woke up at 8AM and left around 9.  I went to Regina Street but didn't find any interesting
restaurant open so I ate a little one.

Lunch near Regina Street

2:00PM  I took the metro to the airport.  Before I left, I exchanged 50 MXNs for 4 USDs at an official exchange office.

January 2nd, 2012 Havana, Cuba

9:30AM  The house lord gave me back the 2 CUCs I owed her.  I then went back to the casa where I was yesterday.  I couldn't locate the girl and left after 30 minutes of talking to different house lords and the restaurant owner on the third floor.

12:00PM  I had a daiquiri at La Floridita, where it was invented by Hemingway.   I then started walking toward the end of the walking street, where I met Anna and David, two Swedish photographers.  After about half an hour, I started to walk toward the cathedral, where I ate lobster at a nearby restaurant.

5PM  I took a cab for 15 CUCs.  He wanted 20 CUCs.   I think he heard 10 when I said 18 to bargain.  So 15 was a good deal, considering it was a 30 minute in a 1948 Chevrolet.  They gave me a hard time at the immigration office again.

11PM  The flight was delayed for about an hour.  The metro station was not far away.  I was fortunate, taking the last train at 11:46PM to Colegio Militar.

12AM  I arrived at Olga's.

January 1st, 2012 Veradero and Havana, Cuba

3AM  We left to go to a local bar called Pata Negra.

5AM  I started walking back to Colegio Militar.   After receiving 100 MXNs from a couchsurfer who promised to send me home, I couldn't find a taxi that would take me from the bar to home then to the airport for under 250 MXNs.  I got another 90 MXNs from an Italian, a Mexican and a Dutch.  I kept walking and got on a bus that went west instead of north to El Angel.  I walked into a man who wanted to
escort me.  I didn't trust him and kept going.   I got home around 6AM.  After finding 6 taxi companies that were listed on the airport's web site, I found none worked at this hour.  I walked back to a big street and found a cab for 90 MXNs.   The taxi meter confirmed it, rising from 16 to 120 MXNs.

7AM  I arrived at the airport and paid 350 MXNs for the Cuba visa and 295 MXNs for the airport tax.

8:45AM  The plane was almost empty with just about 10 passengers.

An Empty Plane to Havana

12PM  I exchanged 200 USDs for 200 CUCs with someone who was standing in front waiting to exchange.   By doing that, I avoided the 15% loss in fees.

1PM  I spent 40 CUCs to go to Veradero, which was like the Canadian said in Guatemala, boring.  I didn't even bother to going into town and took a bus back for 10 CUCs.

7PM  I was dropped off and walked to centro but the casa was 35 CUCs.   I walked toward Havana Viejo and stopped to have grilled fish on the bay.   The restaurant is called El Portal.  It wasn't good.

11PM  I roamed around Havana Viejo but didn't find anything interesting.   The stores didn't have food.  There were whores and girls thay dressed like whores on the street.  I was so bored and didn't find any casas.  Therefore I walked back to the casa near El Portal and bargained the price down to 18 CUCs.

December 31st, 2012 Mexico City

I had a taco here.

9:30AM  I left to go to Polanco but I left because there was nothing there.  A young man paid for my bus ticket (2 MXNs) and led me to Paseo de la Reforma.

12PM  I arrived at Zocalo and had a steak at Cafe la Blanca for 133 MXNs and a warm strawberry milk for 23 MXNs.  It wasn't good.

5PM  I went home and slept for a few hours before going to Axel's new year's eve at 11:30PM.  I overpaid the taxi driver at 85 MXNs.

December 30th, 2012 Mexico City and Teotihuacan, Mexico

10AM  I arrived at Mexico City but at the wrong terminal.  Fortunately, they let me back onto the Central
North Station.   I borrowed someone's phone to call Olga and then got on a bus to Teotihuacan.   It was supposed to take 2 hours but I think it look longer due to traffic.

3PM  I bought a jaguar and eagle whistle for 5 USDs.   I got lucky because the old lady gave me 13 MXNs per USD back in change.

4:30PM  I took the bus back for 40 MXNs.

7PM  I arrived at Olga's home after switching subways.   We had dinner and I went to sleep at 9:30PM.
