April 17th, 2024 Shiraz, Iran to Isfahan, Iran

7:35AM I woke and had breakfast. We left the hotel around 8:45AM.

9AM We visited the Nasir al-Mulk Mosque, a beautiful mosque known for its stunning stained glass windows.

10AM We then stopped at the Jum'a Mosque. There were people shooting an interview video here. We then explored the Zandiyeh Complex, which includes Bazaar and Karim Khan Citadel.

11AM It took about half an hour to walk back to the car, after which we headed to Persepolis.

12PM We reached Persepolis, a significant historical site that was smaller than the Roman ruins I just saw months ago in Libya. It was discovered 120 years ago.

2PM We visited Naqsh-e Rostam, located just 10 minutes from Persepolis.

3PM We paid a visit to Pasargadae, which is home to the tomb of Cyrus.

4:30PM We left for Isfahan, arriving late in the evening.

8PM I tried Isfahan Beryani, but it ended up giving me food poisoning that lasted for now 10 days. The dish was extremely fatty, with minced lamb and sheep lung and a side bowl of grease. It was far too rich for my stomach to handle.
