2PM Thao arrived and we went to ABC Bakery for a couple more cakes before leaving for Siem Reap ($5). We got to Siem Reap at 8PM and searched for Garden City, where I stayed for $1 at a dorm last time. I could not find it and stopped at another place for a $8 AC room. We then went to the night market and found the women who sold me the painting 8 months ago. We went to sleep early for sunrise the next day.
This blog is especially dedicated to those helped along my way of traveling the world. These couchsurfing hosts, those that shared whatever they had with me, no matter how poor or rich, were the most generous people that I have had the pleasure to meet. Our encounters, however ethereal and transient, are extraordinary and deserve to be recorded and read by others to come. I will travel on and remember your generosity, for which I am eternally grateful.

March 26th, 2010 To Siem Reap
View from Eddie's Apartment
11AM It was raining so hard I had to stop the moto driver and stay in a restaurant for 20 minutes. I was on my way to meet Malina. Finally, it got a little smaller and I was able to borrow an umbrella from the restaurant. They also watched my luggage for me even though I was not eating there. This would not happen in China or Vietnam. So we talked a little about her trip to Australia and random things. I told her I was going to Siam Reap at 12:00PM so she sent me there in her car. By the time we got there, Thao was not there yet. Mailinh said that the bus leaving from HCMC at 6AM would not get there until 1:30PM. So I had a couple of cakes at ABC Bakery St 274 (1,800 riels) for lunch.
