April 7th, 2010 Hoi An

10AM I had 5 banh vac (white rose) for 10,000 VNDs (they are regularly priced at 8 for 15,000 VNDs) at the white rose restaurant on Nhi Trung Road. I also tried banana coffee shake on Le Loi (15,000 VNDs). No diarrhea this time. I must compliment the food here. I loved the desserts at Tam Tam Garden. I must have had come here 3 days a day for the 2 days I was here. I tried their Black Forest, Mango Mousse, Strawberry Yogurt and a couple of other ones. If I were to visit again, I would definitely go back to all these places.

Ran out of Superlatives

12PM There did not seem to be that much nightlife besides the bars and open shops and night markets that sold lanterns. I bought a ticket for My Son Temples (80,000 VNDs) the next morning at 8AM, which does not include the entry fee at 60,000 VNDs.

Kids on the Island across the Japanese Bridge

For the whole afternoon I roamed around the city, which is all within the range of my rental bike (10,000 VNDs for a day, I returned the morning after). The people here much kinder than other parts of Vietnam. I have not an idea why.
Cau lau: I would say it is second to white rose.

Hoi An at Night

I tried to buy tickets to Nha Trang and My Son for 345,000 VNDs at Jetstar Dan Pham Co., 13 Hoang Dieu Street. But they closed at 9 and after bargaining with several others and still finding their price the best, I went back to them to find them closed. My tickets were purchased at last from at another hotel whose name I do not recall. I think it is Phui Hoa but I am probably wrong.
