February 18th, 2017 Melaka, Indonesia to Bali, Indonesia

1AM I crossed the border to Malaysia- simple.

5AM I followed the Chinese guy's advice to take the express train to TVS to Melaka. It costed 6.5 IDR here. Things are relatively much cheaper here than Singapore. I have go to Melaka now that I found out from him that it's UNESCO site for Chen Ho.

5:45AM None of the convenience stores nor the bus ticket sales office took visa. I exchanged my extra change in SGD with two helpful female students. My bus was 13 IDR and we left pretty much on time.

8:30AM I arrived at Melaka.

9AM I did a free tour for 3 hours. I wouldn't recommend it. I had to take my luggage up a small hill. That was not it. It's that I could barely hear him and he talked about... basically nothing about history but mostly about Chinese people coming to Malaysia to build stuff.

12PM I took awhile to find baba nyonya food- which is the mixture of Malay, Chinese and Indian food. I had Kapitan chicken which the owner woman insisted it was completely different from Indian food. It was not, really. She was nice to let me use my visa. The crab ball soup was excellent, though.

1:30PM A nice tour guide drove me back to the bus station as I couldn't find the local bus. I then had to find change because no one had any and no store took visa. The exchange office gave me an extra 0.5 MYR.  The saleswoman wanted 24.3 MYR which I just heard the 24 MYR part honestly. The guy next to me spotted me 0.3 MYR.

4PM I arrived at KLIA instead of touring the city because when I looked at the flights I had to take in the future, many of which have the potential to go through Kuala Lumpur. I took out my tripod for AirAsia but their security stopped me when they saw it. The annoying Indian supervisor fought and said I have to pay 105 MYR even though their associate saw me take out the tripod and said it was okay. I knew fighting them was of no use and just sneaked in with my tripod turned against them. It worked.

5PM I took a shower at the lounge. This was probably the best lounge I have been to- they had miso soup and real food and massage chairs to sleep on, which I didn't use.

7PM My flight left for Bali. Now I remember how much I hated AirAsia- they had the smallest seat possible.

10PM I arrived. Uber drivers are horrendous here. They would call you to ask for cash and force you to cancel if you don't comply. I had to cancel all of them and complain to Uber. I shared a car with a German girl and her dad. She offered to let me share their private tour tomorrow.
